Robert Zemeckis' Oscar-winning fable tends to get pasted for its right-wing agenda, but - taken as a sweet, occasionally sickly, modern fairytale - it's largely enjoyable.

The commentaries are better, although it's typical of the makers' love for style over content that there's a contribution from the production designer, but bugger all from the writer.
