Zany Technicolor musical, with Monroe (blonde, wide-eyed) and Jane Russell (dark, streetwise) perfectly teamed as a pair of gold-digging cabaret artistes on the hunt for sugar-daddies on board a transatlantic liner. Drawn from the novel by Anita Loos, with great dance routines by Jack Cole and classic Jule Styne numbers (including 'Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend'), there's also polished direction from Howard Hawks.
