Back when Patrick Swayze was a big box-office draw and Demi Moore was still believable as gorgeous and sensitive, Ghost was a huge success - - even if the critics dismissed its plot as schmaltz-ridden. But this spiritual romance, with Swayze's dead banker trying to warn his lover (Moore) that she's in danger via psychic Whoopi Goldberg, has dated well. And the pottery scene is still sexy despite numerous spoofs.
DVD Extras:
Director's commentary, Remembering The Magic featurette, trailer.Director Jerry Zucker and writer Bruce Joel Rubin ramble on about their careers, but the commentary is still good, touching on who passed on the starring role (Tom Cruise), who wanted to play the female lead (Nicole Kidman) and how the "devil" sounds are really babies crying.
