Heavy Metal is the work of a collection of frustrated artists, who in 1981 collaborated on a feature-length cartoon, based on the eponymous adult comic books. Breaking the constraints of their regular projects, this movie allowed all their innermost teenage fantasies to be lived out in true gore-splattered, naked glory.
