This Easter treat might just be a bit too sickly...

Hop review

Less tinnitus-inducing than the Chipmunks, not quite as childhood-defiling as Yogi, Hop is still another soulless live-action/CG adventure aimed solely at pre-schoolers.

E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand) flees his role as Easter Bunny-in-waiting to pursue his musical dreams and buddy up with slacker James Marsden.

Ninja bunnies, fluffy chicks and confectionery overload ensure it meets its fuzzy-wuzzy quotient. But the forced plot, sporadic action and bored performances result in something similar to E.B.’s jelly bean poop – hyper-colourful, saccharine and ever so sickening.
