Think Festen meets Ravenous for Mike Figgis' semi-improvised and DV-shot mock-Dogme outing, which comes tarted up with the kind of stylisations that made his Timecode look more daring than it was. A film crew hit a Venice hotel to make an adaptation of The Duchess Of Malfi; little do they know that the staff have certain, erm, appetites. It's all laudably experimental, but it's also more self-indulgent than the Dogme films it's parodying, and an overegged, undercooked mess plotwise.
