Inside Job

Informative if rage-inspiring doc about the financial crisis

Inside Job review

For a clear, comprehensive explanation of the financial shitstorm that hit the world in 2008, and from which we’re all – except the greedy bastards who caused it – still suffering, you couldn’t do better than Charles Ferguson’s doc.

Soberly narrated by Matt Damon, the film takes us through its origins – the disastrous deregulation of the banks in the Reagan/ Thatcher years – the bland complacency of subsequent governments, the crash and the aftermath, interviewing many of the major players.

You may want to strangle a banker afterwards, though.
