Written and directed by Back To The Future scribe Bob Gale, I60 is a patchy but never-predictable road movie. James Marsden’s Neal dodges a quarter-life crisis when pipe-smoking mystic Gary Oldman sends him on a literal and existential delivery-quest. Neal’s Gulliver’s Travelsesque journey takes in a town populated by lawyers, a self-detonating Chris Cooper and Kurt Russell as a drug-pushing sheriff. It’d take a very stoned mind to see the wisdom in the philosophy, or the logic in its plot, but it’s still highly watchable twaddle.
