Let Me In

An unnecessary but worthy remake of the Swedish child vamp chiller

Let Me In review

Did we really need a US remake of Let The Right One In? Probably not.

But Matt Reeves’ (Cloverfield) film deserves a chance, especially when its heart is so unexpectedly in the right place.

No irritating moppets here; instead, we have subtle turns from Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloë Moretz as a bullied boy and his vampire pal.

True, the bombast has been amped up in the journey over the Atlantic – then again, a few plot problems have also been sorted along the way.

A small (it made peanuts Stateside) but auspicious comeback for Hammer Films, backed by worthwhile extras.
