Prematurely cancelled US remake gets a good airing on DVD

The American re-do of the Beeb hit sees another ‘tec ( Jason O’Mara’s Sam) come to in 1973 after a present-day car accident.

Despite slick retrostyling and a stellar support cast (Harvey Keitel, Gretchen Mol, Michael Imperioli), it was cancelled mid-way through its debut season.

The DVD redresses the balance with a final episode containing a mostly satisfying resolution.
