Little Man (12)

Little Man? Little laughs, more like. A truly smalltime comedy, the Wayans Brothers’ latest casts Marlon W as the ultimate petty criminal – two-and-a-half-foot-tall jewel thief Calvin Sims – and sees the dinky delinquent posing as a baby to retrieve a stolen diamond from an unsuspecting young couple. Cue the mostly flat and unfunny baby-brained gross-out gags you’d expect from the makers.

DVD Extras:

Thank God the extras focus not on the film’s laugh-an-hour comedy, but its ambitious visual effects, with a featurette on Wayans’ 10-year-old body double Linden Porco actually being smarter and funnier than the film itself.
