For hopeless - and possibly lobotomised - romantics only

She was spiky, sarcastic and sexy in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Gone Baby Gone. So clearly what Michelle Monaghan really needs is a blander-than-Wogan romcom opposite Patrick Dempsey.

He’s an unconvincing womaniser who realises his best friend is also his ideal mate – just when she gets engaged to Kevin McKidd (terrific actor, thankless role).

What follows plays as if someone’s cut together My Best Friend’s Wedding and Four Weddings And A Funeral, taking care to remove anything funny.
