Marking the second collaboration between Jim Carrey and the Farrelly brothers, expectations were high for this Jekyll-and-Hyde tale of a split-personality cop escorting a cute witness (Renée Zellweger) upstate. But, although Carrey showcases some of his best physical comedy yet, you can't help thinking that the Farrelly's should be trying something new.
DVD Extras:
Ten deleted scenes, featurette, directors' commentary, Foo Fighters video, trailer and TV spots.Should you ever be curious about who the extras in the film are and how they're related to the directors, then the Farrellys' commentary is most helpful. Sadly, that's about its only interest. The deleted scenes aren't particularly funny and most are simply extended versions of existing scenes. It's obvious from the featurette that Carrey and the Farrellys had fun making this movie. So where's the gag reel?
