Memento

5

Leonard (Guy Pearce) is hunting the man who murdered his wife, a task confused by an injury that wipes his short term memory every few minutes, forcing him to rely on the Polaroids and tattooed messages he leaves himself as clues. Starting with his execution of the murderer, the story jumps further and further back to show his nightmarish and disjointed quest.

DVD Extras:

Website, interview with director, tattoo gallery, short story, shooting script, easter egg to view in chronological order.Considering the complaint that Hollywood lacks fresh ideas, it's no surprise that writer/director Chris Nolan is actually English. Inspired by his brother's short story (reprinted on the DVD), the film demands much of Guy Pearce, but he delivers a flawless performance as the man trying to make sense of his limited-input world.
