So twee it comes with its own Katie Melua video, this prim Beatrix Potter biopic reinvents the Peter Rabbit authoress as an Edwardian Bridget Jones trying to juggle career (fluffy animal drawings that come alive on the page) and romance (Ewan McGregor sporting the mother of all handlebar moustaches on his stiff upper lip). Chris Babe Noonan directs from the English Heritage playbook, resulting in a bland costumer it’s hard to give a Puddle-Duck about.
