Given the quality names - - including superstar Tom Cruise and iconic director John Woo - - you'd be forgiven for expecting great things from this sequel. What you actually get is a disappointing, formulaic actioner stuffed with "trailer moment" pulse-racers but very little soul.
DVD Extras:
Director's commentary, Making Of featurette, stunts featurette, stunt walk-throughs, Mission: Improbable parody, alternate credit sequence, music video and DVD-ROM features. At least the disc has no pretensions about its target audience: this is full-on stunts, cut with suitably fawning interviews with the stars talking about how inventive they all are. But the undoubted highlight is the Mission: Improbable parody, starring Ben Stiller as "Tom Crooze", Cruise's idiotic stunt double. If any film needed its bubble bursting, it was this one, and Stiller does it in fine funny style.
