This Wes Craven stinker features a risible serial killer (voiced, in parts, by Roger ‘Ghostface’ Jackson), fraudulent teenspeak (“Wake up and smell the Starbucks”) and unconvincing FX (“I’m new to digital blood,” says Wes on the commentary).
Opening with the death, resurrection, death, resurrection, death, resurrection, DEATH of a multi-personality killer, the film leaps forward 16 years to the scare-free demise of some bland, pretty kids.
Is the killer back? Might one of the kids be possessed? Has Craven really messed up this much? Avoid.
