Nanny McPhee And The Damp Squib, more like, as the warty one (Emma Thompson) teaches her magical lessons all over again to frazzled Maggie Gyllenhaal’s wayward wartime brood. Still, the kid-friendly humour of Thompson’s skilful script, overrunning with spilt treacle, manure-spattered chases and synchronised-swimming piglets, will tickle the tinies and the child actors are corking. For the adults, there’s Rhys Ifans and Bill Bailey.
