Steve Zahn needs a new agent - or maybe a new career. The Out Of Sight supporting player has a starring role in this would-be buddy flick, playing a cop busted down to security guard after allegedly beating up a suspect. But Martin Lawrence (why, oh why is he still working?) makes a dull comic foil, while the script is a formless mess that trivialises the Rodney King case and mocks so-called "black paranoia".

DVD Extras:

"Believe me, if you're listening to this commentary, you probably know more about filmmaking than I do." So says director Dennis Dugan, and who are we to argue? Unfortunately, he goes on to lavish praise on Lawrence's comic skills - a point patently disproved by the tedious deleted scenes of the Bad Boys star improvising. A music vid and trailer complete a "who gives a damn?" package.
