Ocean's Eleven

2

The original Ocean’s Eleven features Frank Sinatra as the mastermind behind an attempt to knock off five Vegas casinos in one go. What should have been a glitzy romp (see Steven Soderbergh’s remake) is not much more than a celluloid hangover – with the Rat Pack clearly more concerned with what they can get up to once the cameras have stopped rolling than any onscreen emoting.

DVD Extras:

Commentary by Frank Sinatra Jnr and Angie Dickinson, The Tonight Show, Interactive Map Of Vegas Casinos, trailers. Frank Sinatra Jnr is too loyal to his dad to be objective and too removed from the film to be useful. In fact, only the punchy histories of the five casinos cheer up an otherwise drab set of extras.
