Fox's loopy highbrow series Prison Break has broken free from TV and landed on DVD. Half of it, that is: the season's first 13 episodes are here shoehorned onto four discs, sadly without extras.
Paul T Scheuring's premise sees architect-turned-crim Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) banged up behind the crusty walls of Fox State in an attempt to break out his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) - an inmate on death row for a murder he claims he didn't commit. Sounds familiar enough. And it is... up until Scofield's masterplan is revealed to be a tattoo covering his entire upper body that serves as a mapway through the institution's pipework.
Bonkers, brilliant and bombastic, Prison Break is one of the best shows around.
BEST BIT: The unveiling of that practical body art.
