Barney Platts-Mills’ follow-up to Bronco Bullfrog presents another pair of star-crossed lovers, this time more upmarket.
Ann (Susan Penhaligon), a nice girl from Surrey, falls for Peter (Bruce Robinson), a writer, despite her parents’ disapproval. They shack up but the relationship starts to flounder…
As in Bronco, Platts-Mills uses deadpan realism and improvised dialogue to show his characters sympathetically but without sentimentality.
The shorts include a doc Platts-Mills made about mentally challenged children.
