This humourless Finnish film wants to convey deep thoughts about the nature of marriage and parenthood, but – via its tale of deceitful, desperate couples in middle-class crisis – just makes you feel depressed. The semi-sepia tones make it seem even more miserable, and the lack of extras doesn’t help.
