Interactive menus, the sound of wind whistling through a deserted town, a clock striking somewhere in the distance.Yes, it's the one hundredth great film to be put on a DVD not worthy of being used as a shiny frisbee. The usual argument is that owning a superb film on DVD is so much better than on VHS. But unless the video of Quiz Show needs turning over half-way through, this rule cannot apply. Nothing can be taken away from the actual film - but it's hard to recommend spending the extra cash for the inconvenience of interrupting your viewing halfway through.
