Jeff Bridges is a genius - - granted. But no amount of lanky Cali charm can save this leaden would-be comedy. He's teamed with Sam Waterson, the pair playing dopey modern-day cowboys with little on their so-called minds besides stealing cattle and shagging women. Drifting from scene to scene with little or no objective, the `heroes' are insipid, the relationships uninvolving. When the magnificent Slim Pickens can't save a film, you know it's doomed.
