If you must buy a movie that’s the third instalment in a so-so franchise, based on a computer game and scribbled by Paul WS Anderson, you can’t really complain about it being derivative and formulaic. And yet, within these parameters, there is fun to be had here. The opening’s punchy, the plot’s pacy and Milla Jovovich shows ass-kicking class as heroine Alice, meeting zombies, killer crows and Heroes’ Ali Larter in the Nevada Desert.
