Death Proof eat your heart out: this grindhouse-inspired cat-and-mouse road movie has rugged charm by the truckload. As lorry-for-hire Quid, Stacy Keach is a craggy, enigmatic anti-hero (“Listen lady, just cos I drive a truck does not make me a truck driver”), inadvertently on the trail of a serial killer preying on hitchhikers. Daft, murky and visually distinctive, Road Games benefits from an early appearance by Jamie Lee Curtis as the wise-cracking Hitch.

The sole extra is the trailer – with über-camp voiceover – which earns points for sheer novelty value.
