Romeo Must Die (tbc)

East meets West (again) in Jet Li's debut Hollywood lead role. Yet while the stunts and the action are undeniably impressive (that's the East bit), they never gel into anything more than a kickabout with some fancy special effects and way too much talking (which is where Hollywood comes in).

DVD Extras:

13 behind-the-scenes mini documentaries, trailers, three music videos, DVD-ROM features, cast notes.While one of the documentaries is filled with the usual trite HBO First Look material (effectively a 15-minute trailer), the rest are tighter and far more informative. Looking mainly at the action (including a four-minute chase scene that took 21 days to film), each focuses on one particular segment, which thankfully leaves film promotion to the marketing guys. Extra points, too, for icing it all with soundbites such as ""Jet is like Gene Kelly"" and Joel Silver musing, ""It's too easy to blow up a building or two"."
