A righteously angry political drama, largely carried by a career-defining turn by James Woods. As washed-up, drunken war journalist Richard Boyle, Woods drives to El Salvador with buddy Doctor Rock (James Belushi). He finds the country in the grip of a military dictatorship, propped up by US military aid, and begins to chronicle the widespread human rights abuses there.
