Saw IV Extreme Edition

2

Director Darren Lynn Bousman proves there’s more than one way to skin a head in a passable sequel that’s much closer to Saw II’s nerve-chewing action than the pointless grime of III. The flashbacks within flashbacks confuse and dumb cops doing daft things will have you shouting at the screen, but revelations about sneaky sadist Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) and characters from previous entries pump intrigue into the gory formula.

DVD Extras:

The disc includes two commentaries, a deleted scene and a video diary, but it’s the traps featurette that’ll fire fans’ bloodlust.
