All you need to know about this S(tepford) Club movie is that it was scripted by Kim Fuller, the guilty mind behind the similarly icky Spice Girls film. As with Spice World, it's a limp parody of manufactured pop featuring a mad scientist who clones the wee band with the aim of manipulating innocent minds. To their horror, S Club discover that their fans couldn't give a monkey's if they're real or fake. Talking of Monkees, you suspect that Fuller wanted to capture the feel of that `60s band's TV series. Instead he's written the most anodyne pop film ever, featuring the blandest band of all time.
DVD Extras:
If you didn't get enough of Bradley, Rachel, Hannah et al in the main feature, there's interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, biographies and some "S Club facts". Nicely packaged but nothing special - - which rather sums up Fuller's now-defunct cash-cow.
