No bad thing in these ironic times, and the sincerity of the performances of Will Smith and Dawson at the heart of this mysterious drama keep sentiment at bay. Just.
Less stable is the script, telegraphing in the opening minutes the big ‘reveal’ as to why Smith’s IRS agent is trying to aid seven lost souls.
