Shark Tale

2

Down-at-the-fin fish Oscar (Will Smith) jumps at fame and fortune when he's mistaken for a shark killer. His new notoriety attracts the attention of a great white godfather (Robert De Niro), a veggie shark (Jack Black) and a gold-digger (Angelina Jolie). Will Oscar stay true to his girlfriend (Renée Zellweger) or end up, er, sleeping with the fishes?

Despite a heavyweight cast, impressive animation and ticklesome movie in-jokes, Shark Tale still whiffs of cynicism and is light on the heart that made Finding Nemo such a joy.

DVD Extras:

A dreary treatise by directors Vicky Jenson, Bibo Bergeron and Rob Letterman informs us of the months spent `fishifying' (read: product placement), the featurettes are regurgitated TV spots and the music section simply replays movie segments. Then there are those un-skippable DreamWorks ads that play as soon as you load the disc. At least the `Learn To Dance Like Oscar' section, a couple of games and some PC printables provide fun for the guppies.
