Sharpe's Challenge

3

Sean Bean's swashbuckling soldier Richard Sharpe returns from his nine-year break with a story set two years after Sharpe's Waterloo. The dusty hills of India are the backdrop for a face-off between the British and the evil Colonel Dodd (Toby Stephens), who's been up to no good with the local Maharajah. Oh, and he's also kidnapped a beautiful Englishwoman... Time to call our Sharpie, eh?

Anyone who's ever watched Sharpe will know what to expect: fisticuffs, swordfights and bloody battles. The plot doesn't pretend to be subtle and, fuelled by Bean's cocky swagger, it happily rattles along, daring you to turn up your nose.

BEST BIT: Sharpe has to choose between blowing his cover or shooting his best friend, Harper (Daragh O'Malley). Hmm...
