How long can you watch people's reactions to a film? Probably not 90 minutes...

Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami pares cinema down to the bone in this experimental mood piece consisting of female patrons’ facial reactions to a period drama we hear but never see.

More installation than film, it’s a slog a few brief glimpses of Juliette Binoche can hardly energise.
