Having had her heart removed by a twisted serial killer well versed in ludicrous, cod philosophical death rituals, Mina (Yumiko Shaku) finds herself at the none-too-pearly Gate of Resentment. Offered three afterlife choices, she plumps for the Patrick Swayze help-the-loved-one-and-float-around-ethereally option. Two hours of pomposity, uninspiring swordfights and spiritual waffle later, the overriding thought is that this Japanese oddity's scribblers must have been sky high themselves to concoct such nonsense.
