Tim Burton goes to town with the spooky style and whacked-out characters that he loves so much, mostly played by a legion of British thesping stalwarts and even a few Hammer horror survivors (including Christopher Lee, who is a particular, if little seen, treat). The film lacks a little something in the script department, but it's ghoulish fun nonetheless.

Theatrical trailers, Behind The Legend documentary, Reflections On Sleepy Hollow interviews, biographies, audio commentary. Mr Burton clearly likes his commentaries on the minimalist side, so be prepared for long, silent pauses. But when he is talking, he's good value, either discussing some technical point, or recalling how cold the sets were. The interviews, on the other hand, are little more than the usual promo talking heads, but this disc still has much to recommend it.
