Pumped-up, shale-voiced Kurt Russell tries his best, but fails to ignite Paul Anderson's mega-budget sci-fi actioner about galactic wars and super-trained, merciless soldiers that skipped the cinemas here and nose-dived straight to video. Russell plays the hero grunt, trained from birth to obey orders and kill baddies, who finds himself fighting for survival against a horde of marauding genetically-modified nasties.
