Stella Street

“’Ere Keef, ’ave you seen the price of these sausages?” In a perfect universe, Mick and Keef of the Rolling Stones really would run the local corner shop. This however is Stella Street, a small lane in the Surbiton suburbs populated by massive stars – Al Pacino, David Bowie, Jack Nicholson, Michael Caine to name a few – who all look a lot like comedians Phil Cornwell and John Sessions. Shot in a rough-handed cinema verité style, the plots might be thinner than Pete Doherty’s life neck, but each 10-minute episode is guaranteed to contain a couple of great gags.
