Strangers On A Train

Hitch's classiest Macguffin - - two men meet on a train and discuss `swapping' murders to execute two seemingly motiveless killings - - is just the starting point for a masterclass in sustained tension. Hitchcock restricted himself to hinting at the homosexuality of rich psycho Bruno (Robert Walker), but - - from a head-turning tennis match crowd to a finale on a speeding merry-go-round - - really lets loose when it comes to extravagant set-pieces.
