A battered woman Pilar (Laia Marull) flees the marital home with her young son, seeking refuge with her sister (Candela Pena). The wife-beating husband Antonio (Luis Tosar) undergoes group therapy, but is it safe for Pilar to give him another chance? Shot in the medieval town of Toledo, this slab of social realism benefits from two strong central performances but is let down by stereotypical supporting characters.
