The 7th Voyage Of Sinbad

3

Sinbad goes on his GREATEST ADVENTURE! Well, that's what the overexcited bloke voicing the trailer tells us. Guess the other six voyages were just humdrum and boring, then. Ignore the fact that the plot is just an excuse to cram in as many monsters as possible, because there's no denying that Ray Harryhausen's work still shines today thanks to some real imagination and a real sense of fun fuelling the effects.

DVD Extras:

Harryhausen documentary, three SFX featurettes. Big monsters! There's legendary creatures ahoy here, and some enlightening (if short) featurettes focusing on the real star: Ray Harryhausen. Fans of his stop-motion monstoids are well catered for, with a whole hour-long documentary devoted to the man and his methods, narrated by professional voice-over artiste (and ex- Spock) Leonard Nimoy.
