The West Wing-style shenanigans from writer/director Rod Lurie, as Senator Joan Allen fights to maintain her dignity in the race to be elected Vice-President. Not easy when faced by Gary Oldman's wispy- haired Republican, a political weasel who dredges up a supposed college gang-bang to prevent the Oval office being turned into the Ovary office.

Verdict:
Allen and Oldman act their woolly booties off and Bridges humorously nods towards The Dude as a bowling President. But, just as you're marvelling at how flawed and real these characters are, Lurie cops out and goes for the "God Bless America" ending.
