Revved to the max adreno-thrills a go-go as director Rob Cohen switches the basic plot of Point Break to LA's underground street racing scene. All-American blue-eyed boy Paul Walker is perfect as the undercover cop trying to find the gang behind a series of truck hijackings, but the film only ever belongs to one man: Vin Diesel. Prowling through Cohen's neon-shot, funk-laced underworld like a gravel-voiced gorilla in a boilersuit, he moves closer to the A-list status he so deserves.
