First given a bike to outrun school bullies, Graeme Obree ( Jonny Lee Miller) grows up to be a super-speedy courier. A chance meeting with shipbuilder Douglas Baxter (Brian Cox) inspires him to enter professional racing – but his mental-health demons prove harder to beat. Sadly the exposition-heavy dialogue and same-old underdog arc means there’s little originality on offer, as inspiring as the real-life Obree may be. No extras.
