The Full Monty

2

Despite its huge success, in the cold light of day The Full Monty ain't very good. Shocking? Well, the direction's formulaic and weak, the acting's poor to dreadful, and the storyline's floppy and predictable. "BUT!", you cry, "it's British, and not American!" This isn't a defence of a film. This is a confession about the pathetic state of our cinema.

DVD Extras:

Trailer. There's been a long wait for this film on DVD. Why? Because the VHS kept on selling. So to bleed as much of your money as possible they kept it back. Did they do anything interesting in the meantime? Not a thing. Even the obligatory trailer is the TV-teaser, and not the full-length cinema version. And there's nothing else. At all. You have been insulted. Get your own back, and don't shell out any money for this disappointing disc.

Hint: The film starred Michael J Fox as accidental time traveller Marty McFly.
