Hollywood goes Hollywood. Or is it the other way round? The best thing about director Daisy von Scherler Mayer's attempt to cash in on Hindi chic is her willingness to blend traditional song-and-dance routines with some off-the-cuff improvisations (like `You're The One That I Want' from Grease).
Jimi Mistry plays the Indian dance teacher who heads out to New York, only to find himself on a porn shoot with a malfunctioning weapon. Heather Graham is the tart with a heart who offers him some homespun advice - which, when repeated, brings him fame as a lovemaking guru. It's yet another example of the overdone culture-clash comedy, but it's witty, flamboyant and snappily paced.
