Tolstoy-inspired, sexually graphic drama...

Danny Huston reteams with ivans xtc director Bernard Rose for another Tolstoy-inspired drama, this time involving a jealous hubby convinced his pianist wife is having it off with a violinist while performing the titular Beethoven sonata. Graphic sex, nudity and strong violence make for a heady if pretentious brew.
