Fleeing New York for the small town of Beston, Bridget has a problem - she needs to get rid of Clay so she can safely spend the cash. Enter naïve Swale (Peter Berg). Will Bridget persuade Swale to help her out?
DVD Extras:
Theatrical trailer.Modern film noirs don't come much better than this. In particular, Fiorentino is excellent as the deadliest of femme fatales, so much so that comparisons with Barbara Stanwyck in Double Indemnity don't seem fanciful. She's ably supported by Pullman playing against type as a bad guy, and Berg's portrayal of an innocent drawn into evil. Director John Dahl (Red Rock West), meanwhile, makes the most of Steve Barancik's twisting and cynical script. The transfer to DVD is crisp, and the lack of extras is mitigated by the disc's bargain price.
