An American boy (Jonathan Lipnicki) moves to Scotland, where he's bullied and alone until he meets a friendly young vampire (Rollo Weeks) and his family. Together, they must find some jewel or something. The film quickly degenerates into aimless twaddle that isn't really suitable for children or interesting enough to engage teens. Richard E Grant is great as the daddy vamp, though.

Trailers, TV and radio spots, Little Vampire quiz, Making Of documentary, links to the website. It's hard to know if children will want to watch this disc. The opening titles are far more violent than Buffy has ever been, and then the rest is so schmaltzy that they'll probably toddle off bored. It's unlikely that the quiz will interest them, though the Making Of is long and entertaining. Perhaps in 10 years time it will gain some Lost Boys-style cult status. Then again, perhaps not.
